The Division of Pharmacy Practice invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor position in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. This is a full-time, rolling term appointment under the Contract Academic Staff: Teaching Agreement. Applicants must have a Doctor of Pharmacy or equivalent degree and be licensed or eligible for licensure by the Alberta College of Pharmacists.

Clinical Assistant Professor – Pharmacy Practice Specialty residency training or equivalent experience is desirable and previous teaching experience is required. The ideal candidate will possess a record of demonstrated professional accomplishment, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The position responsibilities include creating and delivering instruction in the classroom; course administration; conducting scholarly activity; maintaining a clinical practice on a part-time basis; and engaging in service to the Faculty, University and community. Applicants from all clinical areas will be considered; those with expertise in internal medicine, immunology/transplant, or ambulatory care are encouraged to apply.


The Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences offers one of the strongest Pharmacy degree programs in Canada. The Faculty has 520 undergraduate and 60 graduate students, and new physical facilities will be available over the next 2 years. The University of Alberta has approximately 37,000 students.
