The Association of Faculties of Pharmacy of Canada (AFPC) and the Association of Deans of Pharmacy (ADPC) are seeking a highly motivated professional to serve as their Executive Director. The initial appointment will be half-time (0.5 FTE) but will accommodate a flexible schedule. The Executive Director is responsible for the day to day management of AFPC and ADPC in accordance with established policies and procedures.

The Executive Director will respond to and implement directions of AFPC/ADPC and assume responsibility for the effective and timely discharge of these obligations. He/She will also assist in planning and coordinating the midyear meetings and annual conferences of the two Associations.

The successful candidate must be an energetic recognized leader with proven administrative skills, the ability to work independently and to effectively complete tasks within specified time frames. Senior administrative experience in pharmacy would be an advantage.

Knowledge of Academic Pharmacy would be a definite asset. Well-developed interpersonal skills combined with excellent communication abilities, written and verbal, are essential to appropriately represent AFPC and ADPC at all levels and with numerous and varied stakeholders. Appreciations of, and experience in, financial management, budgeting, and accounting are required of the Executive Director. Experience in fund-raising is desirable.
