Pharmacy Practice Position, College of Pharmacy, Faculty of Health Professions, Dalhousie University
Applications are invited for a part-time (50%) probationary tenure-track position in Pharmacy Practice at the Assistant Professor level. Applicants must possess PharmD or PhD in pharmacy practice with relevant post graduate training. Applicants must be eligible for license to practice pharmacy in Nova Scotia. Relevant teaching and post-doctoral research experience are desirable. The position is available August 2012.
The College offers a clinically oriented, problem-based learning (PBL) curriculum and is fully accredited by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching the curricular content in critical appraisal and a variety of areas of pharmacy practice commensurate with his/her expertise at the undergraduate and the graduate level.
The successful candidate is expected to establish an externally funded research program. There are excellent opportunities to participate or collaborate within the College of Pharmacy and the university, affiliated teaching hospitals, and research institutes in the metropolitan area.
He/she will also participate in College, Faculty and University committees, continuing pharmacy education programs and other professional service activities.
